Our Team

The DMG team offers a unique mix of seasoned association management professionals with experience in administration, meeting planning, financial management, marketing, communications, design, information technology and membership services. We are proud to have a talented and dedicated team that works to ensure the growth and well-being of our clients.

Understanding that our team is our foundation for every client's experience, it is not surprising that our size, structure and personalized management approach contribute to DMG's long-term client tenure. Our average client has been with DMG for more than 9 years. The DMG leadership team has over 300 years of collective experience working with associations and professional societies. Each averages more than 22 years in the association management profession.


Bill Drohan

William M. Drohan, MBA, CAE, FASAE
DMG President and CEO

Bill has been a practitioner of association management for more than 30 years. Bill established Drohan Management Group in 1986 to fill the industry need for efficient, high-quality management services to associations worldwide.

A native of Massachusetts, Bill received his MBA from George Washington University, where he focused on economics and public policy. Bill has also worked for several government agencies, including the Massachusetts Energy Policy Office, the Rhode Island Attorney General's Office and the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. Bill is listed in Who’s Who in America and Who's Who in Finance and Industry.

As a frequent writer and lecturer on association management strategies, Bill is well known in the profession and often asked to perform strategic planning analyses for a number of associations. His consulting experience includes work with professional societies and associations of all types and sizes. Bill’s expertise includes financial and legal services, energy, healthcare, automotive and a number of other major industries.

Bill is an active member and a Fellow of the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE), where he held positions on the Board of Directors, AMC Accreditation Commission and the AMC Section Council.


Bill Carney

Bill Carney
Director of Membership

Bill has more than 35 years of experience helping associations of every scope grow and nurture their memberships. His expertise spans a wide range of membership services, including marketing, publications and public relations, but his focus at Drohan Management is membership development. He has built and conducted dozens of workshops for associations in an effort to help them better understand how to enhance and market their membership services and how to increase membership numbers, even in an economic downturn. He holds a Master of Arts degree in journalism, with a concentration in public relations and marketing from the University of Maryland.

Bill's career highlights include a 30-year run at FCS Communications Corporation, where he started out as a writer and account executive and worked his way up to the presidency of the company. FCS specialized in graphics, printing and direct-mail marketing projects for trade and professional associations.


Micki Francis

Micki Francis
Director of Creative Services

As an art director, Micki oversees the creation of all DMG client electronic and print publications including: membership directories, exhibitor prospectus, preliminary and final conference programs, professional journals, newsletters, blast emails, postcards and advertisements. Micki has over 33 years of management experience in graphic design and production in both print and web arenas. During her career, she has received numbers awards of design excellence.

Before joining the DMG Team, Micki served as Director of Design and Production for an organization of over 1 million members for more than five years. In this capacity, she directed all creative and production activities, streamlining their process to ensure a more efficient work flow. Micki also was in charge of researching, hiring and coordinating all translation of printed and electronic materials into foreign languages.

As the founder of Francis Design, Micki was responsible for maintaining a high level of creativity while managing staff and administrative responsibilities. She acquired accounts including the AARP, EPA and the American Diabetes Association and managed all vendor biddings and contracts.

Micki received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Graphic Design from Virginia Commonwealth University along with Graphic Design Software training from the Mac Academy. Micki also studied magazine and book design at the Corcoran College of Art & Design.


Kathy Hoskins

Kathy Hoskins
Director of Conference Services and Senior Account Executive

Kathy serves as a Senior Account Executive and Director of Conference Services for DMG and its clients. As an experienced association management executive with over 25 years in the association industry, Kathy brings a high level of expertise in meeting and conference planning, membership, strategic planning, sponsorship programs, financial management, and board and volunteer relations.

Kathy is a results-proven executive director of diverse associations with experience in academia, science, medical, and financial sectors of association management. She has documented success in delivering historic increases in sponsorship revenues, domestic and international membership bases, and conference attendance for multiple associations. Kathy’s excellent partnership, alliance/relationship-building skills and creative/analytical strengths enable out-of-the-box approaches to drive and sustain breakthrough results for her clients.

Kathy graduated from Radford University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education. She is a member of ASAE and serves on the boards and committees of several professional organizations.


Andrew Jens

Andrew Jens
Director of Finance

Andrew is responsible for the finance and accounting functions of DMG and its clients. His current work focuses on maintaining the efficiency, insightfulness, timeliness and accuracy of DMG's internal accounting, financial planning and reporting, and maximizing the value of these services to DMG clients.

Prior to joining DMG, Andrew was the Director of Finance and Operations at the International Council on Clean Transportation. Prior to that, he was the Senior Vice President of Finance and Administration with the National Investor Relations Institute. Before moving to the nonprofit sector, he held positions with Motorola, Time Warner, General Motors and Westinghouse. He holds an MBA in Finance from The University of Chicago and a BS in Industrial Engineering from the University of Wisconsin at Madison.

Andrew is an active member of Financial Executives International (FEI), the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) and the Finance and Administration Roundtable (FAR).


Don Kaiser

Don Kaiser, MBA
Director of Business Development and Account Executive

A seasoned senior association executive with additional extensive for-profit business experience, Don is a highly accomplished, results-driven leader in the energy field of trade association management. Don was the Executive Director of the Pellet Fuels Institute (PFI), a biomass renewable energy trade association. He transformed PFI into a high-profile association with a growing membership and a highly attended and profitable annual conference. He worked closely with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) on industry-wide pellet fuel standards; lobbied successfully for pellet appliance tax credits for consumers; and oversaw industry data collection programs.

Don has over 20 years of experience working with trade associations. He began his career in corporate banking specializing in financial services for trade associations. As a former corporate banking executive, Don brings highly polished finance and budgeting skills to DMG and its clients. As a marketing and business development professional, he has a long history of membership marketing and growth with success anchored in increased member satisfaction.

Don received his Bachelor of Science degree in economics from Vanderbilt University and his Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) from Yale University. He is a member of the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE).


Elissa Myers

Elissa Myers, CAE
Director of Revenue Generation

Elissa is an innovative and creative association executive, specializing in developing great leadership and clear strategic and tactical direction for associations. As a key member of the DMG team, she works to understand, support and provide leadership to associations and to marshal DMG resources to fill those needs. She also helps DMG clients to maximize their dues and non-dues revenue potential.

With almost 40 years of experience as a professional association executive, Elissa has served as a key executive of the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) and as President and CEO of the Electronic Retailing Association (ERA). She has specific experience in: staff and volunteer development and leadership; financial turn-arounds; strategic and tactical planning; membership development and retention; member benefits development and marketing; effective internal and external communications; advocacy; and public relations. She put together and sold millions of dollars in sponsorship support for both ASAE and ERA and has advised other associations on multi-faceted fundraising.

Elissa is a passionate advocate of voluntary associations and of the volunteers that serve them. She has an outstanding track record serving as a spokesperson to the media, industry and regulatory and legislative officials. She has outstanding skills in strategic advocacy and has developed unique and powerful coalitions and profitable enterprises for associations. She is also the author and publisher of hundreds of articles and publications focused on building association membership and revenue.


Rhonda Theoret

Rhonda Theoret
Director of Information Management

As Director of Information Management, Rhonda is responsible for working as the liaison for the planning and conversion of client databases to DMG’s iMIS software program. Rhonda also works on the creation and implementation of quality control measures for effective management of new and existing clients.

Also, as the DMG iMIS Database Administrator, Rhonda is responsible for the analysis of system set-up, security within each client database and for implementing procedures for each existing and new client database. She oversees the integration of website information with the client database. Rhonda is also charged with the training of all DMG staff, and implementing new procedures.

Rhonda has served as Director of Information Management at DMG for the past 15 years. Previously, Rhonda served as Manager of Data Processing for AMS, Inc. where she managed two full-service clients, ensuring the security and accuracy of all member, corporate sponsor, and conference information. Prior to working for AMS, Inc., Rhonda worked for Infocus Communications in Herndon, VA.

Rhonda attended NOVA and George Mason University focusing on Business and Accounting. She received her Stitely & Karstetter CPA's Certification for Peachtree Accounting Systems.


Stacey Wilson

Stacey Wilson
Director of Marketing and Communications

Stacey serves as Director of Marketing and Communications for DMG and its clients. A seasoned marketing, communications and business development professional, Stacey leverages her 25 years of expertise on behalf of DMG’s clients to provide high level marketing strategy and sound solutions to meet their specific marketing challenges.

Stacey's hands-on approach, marketing expertise and in-depth experience were honed by serving a variety of organizations, including associations and non-profits, technology, media and professional services firms. She has worked on a variety of integrated campaigns and programs focused on branding, online and print promotion, advertising, public relations, direct marketing, tradeshows, sales and industry outreach for organizations such as the Society for Human Resource Management, MHz Networks, WGMS radio and TeleSec Staffing Services. Over the course of her career, she has supervised marketing and public relations teams and campaigns for association clients across many industries. She has developed comprehensive marketing plans, created and implemented attendee and exhibitor marketing strategies and managed media relations activities. A skilled writer, she has been hands-on in the creation and development of collateral materials, web copy and email promotional messages that have led to increased awareness of DMG clients and the professions they represent.

Stacey graduated Summa cum Laude from Bowling Green State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism/Public Relations and a minor in French. She is an active member of the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE).
